What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is black tie preferred, meaning if possible men in Tuxedos and women in long gowns. However your presence is more important to us than the dress code.
What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?
Cocktail attire please, no jackets necessary for the men.
Will events be taking place indoors?
Yes! Both the ceremony and the reception will be indoors.
Is transportation provided to the ceremony?
Yes! There will be a trolley taking guests from the Westin to St.George's and then back to the Westin for the reception.
Can I bring my children to the wedding?
We love kids, especially yours; however, given space constraints this will be an adults only reception.
Is there a room block?
The room block is currently full; however, you may still make reservations at the Westin where the ceremony is being held
Is there transportation from the airport to the hotel?
Yes! If you plan to stay at the Westin:
"We offer a complimentary airport shuttle at select times to/from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport for Westin Poinsett Hotel guest with reservations. Call 864-421-9700 to schedule pickups/drop-offs (must be done 24 hrs in advance).
What is the cellphone policy during the ceremony?
Use of cell phones is strictly prohibited during the ceremony out of reverence for St. George's Cathedral
Below is a photo description of where you will find the trolleys for the ceremony. When you come out of the front door of the Westin you will be facing the fountain, take a right and then another right down the alley towards the parking deck. The concierge at the front door will be happy to direct you. The first trolly will be leaving at 2:15 and the last trolley will be leaving at 2:45, there is ample parking at the church if you would prefer to drive.
